Basic Sub/Amp question
Happy holidays to all. Okay I'm not too knowledgable when it comes to some car audio things. I have an Alpine 10" sub...300RMS/ 4ohm-4ohm. Basically I guess I want around the smallest/cheapest type amp I could get that would power this sub good. I figure just the one amp one sub config would be the best, but I don't know how powerful an amp I should get. Do I need one with at least 300RMS or would I be able to power the sub with a weaker amp? Any suggestions are appreciated.

Re: Basic Sub/Amp question
Price range? some good companies to look at are ED, Hifonics, and Pheonix gold. you can find an amp that will push well over 300RMS for around 300 or less. ED would be my first choice. 600.1. then hifonics. Pheonix gold is great but for some reason their 500w amps cost almost as much as their 1000w amps... (ie they are all expensive).
