Post Attachments now available
You may now attach multiple files - images, documents, directly to a post you're making.
AF will automatically resize oversize images while maintaining the best quality possible. To attach files, when you're creating a new post, scroll down and click on "Manage Attachments" to upload files. Once you see that they're uploaded, you can simply close the popup window and the files will appear in your post for others to view.

Re: Post Attachments now available
This new thing sounds like a big improvement to me.
I have always worried that the "Hosting Services" we have been using like PhotoBucket, Alkaspace, Image Shack, etc. may go belly up. If that happens, all our Threads and Postings will be sans photographs ! Way back to when rocks first formed.... I am supposing this new thing is possible since Hard Drives have reached the Terabyte size and have low cost. Nice move. Now - can I make a suggestion? Can your genius programmers write a program that will go back thru our threads and pick up all Hosted Photographs and re-save those threads such that the pictures are saved on your Hard Drives and previous Hosting won't be necessary? That way, our threads will NEVER die - even if the Hosting Services die a hideous, horrible death... DoctorBill

That would be pretty cool. I will look into it.

Re: Post Attachments now available
I'll agree that this is a great thing to have attachments stored with the posts. There have been many times where I have seeen postst that have attached photos linked to one of those sites, but because the poster didn't keep their account up to date (or even visited it) it was deemd dormant or abandoned and removed, leaving us with a blank box in its place. This lets the attachments be independent of the poster. Nice job!

Re: Post Attachments now available
I just tried to upload some photos for a write-up, but butted up against the file size limits. For most shots, I can see the 100-Kb limit as sufficient, but for a detailed write-up it limits how well you can see detail...200 Kb as a suggestion gives alot more flexibility.
