PLEASE help :-)
im posting this again cause no one replied the first time...hopefully someone will this time... does anyone else have a problem with their 3rd gen. cutting out while driving, and usually coming right back but sometimes stalling? its the strangest thing, and I was just wondering if anyone else has had the same problem or have even heard of this happening? I know a few mechanics and no one can figure it out.
thanks* |

Yes I seem to have the same problem. I do have a code 12 (air flow meter circuit open or shorted). I've tried two aftermarket mass air meters and the symptons have gotten worse. I'm going to install my original again and retest the system. Nissan wants about $400.00 for a new air flow sensor. I'm thinking that the aftermarket units are just not calibrated right. I will try to get an answer this week on this problem.

You need to check the sensor ground for the mass airflow meter.Nissan had a problem with poor grounding to sensor.Simply get out the wire diagram, locate ground wire at sensor connector,{Term."c",Black wire.Make sure you are 100% correct} Splice an additional wire to this wire and ground somewhere near sensor.
Good luck |
