Old Tamiya Escort kit gets new life.
Just thought some of you would like to know.
Somehow Domino Model acquired permission to use Tamiya's Escort mold, kit#24144, to produce a 'new' limited kit. This is an excerpt from their FB page: "Look what license we got 😁 We reproduced the TAM24144 (with the original molds from Tamiya) and this is for sale @ Dominomodel.be with Shunko decals “François Delecourt - Rallye Montecarlo 1994" "This kit will be available on our website http://www.dominomodel.be for € 45.00 as from friday morning 2-9-18 9AM (reference "DMN 93030"). In the kit the Shunko decal "Delecour Rallye Montecarlo 1994" is included so you can make the original TAM24144 version, but we have plenty of other decals for sale to make other versions of this legendary car!"

Re: Old Tamiya Escort kit gets new life.
Great news! If I recall correctly Domino also released this kit a few years ago without any decals. I am sure you could buy just the kit for a lower price, or the kit bundled with aftermarket decals. Happy to see them doing it again.

It died as quickly as it got new life. Apparently Domino did not have the licence to produce/sell the kits and so are not currently releasing them.

Domino edition of Ford Escort is already is stock. Great that all licensing issues were solved and the kit is available again. Let´s hope the decal companies will show some activity, too
