Gauge Help
I hooked up an oil pressure gauges 0- 100 psi and everything works but when you turn the car on the needle immediately jumps to the maximum 100psi and stays there….I know my car 98 old cutlass can not have a oil pressure reading of over 100psi..Any suggestions

Re: Gauge Help
If this is an electrical gauge you might have the wires turned around,
or the sending unit is the wrong one or faulty.

Re: Gauge Help
I AM STUCK. I have an electric oil pressure gauge 0 - 100psi...I have tried everything, and the gauge still every time I turn the car on the needle goes from 0 to past 100 and just stays there I have hood up two different gauges and replaced the sender...I don’t know what to do?...I have a 98 cutlass is the oil pressure over 100psi..I surely don’t think it is...any suggestions?

Re: Gauge Help
no the oil pressure is not that high!
You might also have the wrong sending unit. You need the one specific to the gauge you are hooking up. Other then that, it could be wired wrong
