Was there some sort of religious day or event in Sydney today??

Was out driving with a friend today.....and got stuck in a police road block at Gardners rd, Kingsford....had to do a detour....and millions of people about, cars everywhere.... lots of people dressed in all formal sort of gear, lots of families about....????

then as driving back, going up the rd at tempe where the park is, almost get to Homer st intersection....and bloody rd blocked by heaps of people carrying candles, and chanting... end up having to reverse and do like a 15 minute trip around the crap streets of Marrickville to get around....

was majorly cause it wasn't a official road block, just everyone standing all over the road....and when I finally got around after the big "short cut" saw...they had basically set up their own barricades and everything. Man....fair enough if its some religious event or something...but doesn't give them the right...to block the road, like they own it! they could have left a path in the middle for cars to pass.

called information...they thought it may have been some rememberance day for war in middle east or something... I got NFI!!

GRRRRR...........

Other than that....interesting drive to the city, Bondi. Been so long since I been in traffic was slow going...lots of red lights.

Just annoying cause it wasn't an official police road blockade...

had to bloody go the backstreets of Marrickville, and avoid all the street with the huge speed humps...plus streets all bad quality...bouncing up the bloody rd

Umm... dare I point out that Honkie = Hong Kong Chinese Mr T?

Just a little revenge for the urban legend business a while back... or am I one up after the card debacle?
