Hi, What did you use to get the strip effect around the fenders? Thanks and great work!

Hello Mike!, I learned from tutorials of 1/12 Moto GP bikes to simulate the heat staining in the headers... first, you paint your muffler or engine headers with a chrome or aluminum paint of your choice (I always use Alclad II because it looks more close to metal to me), then you have to make some fades with the airbrush with a thin line using different paints, I use Alclad "hot metal sephia", (itīs very good) then Alclad "hot metal violet", and last I use clear orange from Tamiya (acrylic) but the color choices depends how deep or soft you want the heat staining of the refernce photos.

The engine cables, hoses were made with modeling wires of different sizes, the throttle linkage was made using cooper tubes.
The small Nissan and "2000" letters of the engine cover were painted by hand with a thin brush, it was very tricky as you said and I tried several times until get it acceptable (but as you can see the letters are not perfect), It would be great that Tamiya Include some decals for this part because painting is not the best way to get it

Hello Cris.

I recomend using 15" because in all the reference photos Iīve seen the cars have 15" rims, I saw the 17" Watanabes too, but I think is for another type of JDM car, the other thing that you have know is that the Fujimi Watanabe rims kit has 2 shallow and 2 deep (rear) rims included in the box, but the rear are too wide for the car so you have to get 2 boxes to get only the front ones.
