Turbo boost

It is easy to boost up the turbo pressure on the S40 2,0T. Just put a T crosss on the lead marked red to the pressure regulator. It is located to the right under the bonnet, if you are standing ahead of the car. The moore you let it leak the higher turbo pressure. If you disconnect it totally, you will get maybe 240 hp between 3 an 4000 rpm. Good luck! It is fun!!!

Thumbs up Ive modified my s40

Hey Dude, I got my turbo wound up to 15 psi with a simple $180 adjustable valve. They put the car on the dyno and I ended up with 149.4kw at the front wheels wich is 200hp. Ive got a 3" stainless exhaust from the turbo, modified wastegate, koni shocks, king springs lowered 2". I love it! the faster I go the better it handles. In Australias northern teritory we have open speed limits and Ive had it up to 260ks at 6200 but when you go that fast the speedo is out so I dont know how fast I was really going. Get one mate. They are a real sleeper. Every one drags you because theyve got no Idea what you have under the bonnet. 1346kg, 147kw (flywheel) 300nm torque (flywheel) standard.

Re: S40 performance mods

Depends on what country you are in...

Theres A LOT of Volvo tuners in the U.S. and Europe.

For U.S. try Evolve (www.evolvecars.com), IPD (www.ipdusa.com), Eastern Aerospace, etc.

For Europe there's SCT, BSR, TME (www.tme.se), RICA, etc.

I highly suggest you spend some time at www.swedespeed.com (if you are in the U.S.) or www.vvspy.com (if you are outside U.S.). There's other sites like TurboBricks, Brickboard, etc.

Good luck.
