2000 Grand Am Hard to Start

2000 grand am gt v6 will not start unless gas pedal is pumped once or twice. It tries but wont. Once it starts the car runs fine, no miss fires, no engine codes, plenty of power, and good fuel mileage. I realize all I am doing is giving it more air. I don't get it. I would assume if the plugs were bad I would get a mis fire. Would an IAC make sense? or TPS? My daughter drives it to school everyday. It has been doing for almost a year, so I would have thought whatever is causing this would have went completely out by now. more of an aggravation really.

When's the last time you had a tune up? Plugs, wires, air filter, etc...
