3000gt sl tranny probs
I have a 94 3000gt sl the tranny won't shift into overdrive I got a tranny out of a 92 3000gt sl will it fit and will I need to get anything extra to make it work

I'm not positive but i believe even in an auto, the tranny from a 1st gen will not work in a 2nd gen. but dont quote me on that one. i'll do a little more research and get back to you

Check the fluid level in the transmission, if the level is up, it needs to be checked the shift lever at the transmission. While shift it inside you can see outside actually moving the gear selector, it may be broken. If not your transmission is bad, and you have to change it.

No it will not. The solenoids and (I beleive) the valve body are different. Passenger axle and intermediate shaft are different as well. If overdrive is the only issue it sounds like your end clutch has gone out. If you do some research there are write ups on how to replace it. It should be very similar to the DSM trans end clutch since it is basically a DSM trans in a V6 case,
