106 whirring also...

hi, i'll quickly describe symptoms...

up to 30MPH, drives perfectly as normal.
after 30MPH this vibrating sound starts at a low pitch and gets higher and slightly louder as i speed up to 80 odd MPH. It stops if i go round a right hand bend and gets slightly louder round a left hand bend. Putting my foot on the clutch or taking it out of gear or even turning off the engine does not stop the sound. i have checked for anything rubbing against the tyres, driveshafts and cv joints but there is nothing. This happened about a month ago and has been getting louder ever since. At the moment the noise is louder than the engine and it's a 1.5 diesel!
if anyone has any ideas it would be a great help!

cheers! Bill

Re: 106 whirring also...

I would suggest getting the wheels balanced and if noise continues get the driveshafts changed.
Cheers,
