Keyless Entry
Hello!
I need help! I just recently bought a keyless remote for my pontiac trans sport montana (1998) but it didnt come with programming instructions. Does anyone have them or know where to get them from? I am not willing to pay $100.00 to get it from the dealer (completely broke right now). Help me!!!!!!!! I know nothing about this and the owners manual doesnt give info! |

http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbul...d.php?t=160122 EDIT: I do not know the '98, I just found the links; but I understand the fuseblock (possibly in glove box) must contain a position labelled BCM fuse. (Body Control Module). Naturally, I agree I'd put the key back into the slot before turning it on...LOL..(Wonder if that was taken from the GM book). My "93 is more straithforward (needs less steps)..but it needs removing the glove box to access a button on the receiver).

Re: Keyless Entry
I always love instructions written by non-tech writers. The instructions say to close all the doors. What if they weren't open? Should I open them first then close them? Or can I just keep them close. The one that always makes me laugh though is telling me to remove the key from the ignition, but then several steps later telling me to turn the ignition to the accessory position. How do I do that with the key out of the ignition?

Re: Keyless Entry
On the side of the dash, next to the passenger side door. There is a panel you have to remove. I beleive it's fairly clear as to which one is the BCM PRGRM fuse. There is a sticker on the panel that maps everything out.

Re: Keyless Entry
The instructions for the 97-00 Montana (Trans Sport) - Silhouette & Venture are all the same.
