Re: AA Brahma vs. RE XXX

Well adire invented it, so anyone that uses it has to pay royalties to them. That being said there are a few others that use it but I completely forgot who they are. And JL has a very similar technology that they use, it has the same effect but they get there through different means, they use it on the w7 and maybe on the w6v2 as well.

Let me help you with the decision. The XXX needs a ton of power to get full output. Which means more money for more power which means more electrical upgrades which in turn means, well, more $$$. I opted for the Brahma. It needs about 1/2 the power for full output and is just as good. Unless you're into serious competition, go for the Brahma. You won't be dissapointed.

Re: AA Brahma vs. RE XXX

honestly, the xxx doesn't need a ton of power, unless you slap that sub in an awefully small sub. a friend of mine and i just installed a 12" xxx in a 3.0 cubic feet box and with only about 750w, that thing is at full power (or 9/10th of the capability).

XXX are monsterous subs, but the brahama and xxx are so close in performance that it's not even worth discussion which sub is better (because neither is better than the other).

with all that being said, i vote Pyle titanium XBL^5 + hyper-motion subwoofers

Re: AA Brahma vs. RE XXX

ok then, what woofers, in general, for all types of music, that are good for your "every day bump", if $$$ was an issue?? Let's say I had a 2grand maximum for a sound system. What would be the best pair of 12's and an amp or two for this price range??

are there any other companies besides adire/ RE that use xbl^2?

Everyone is confusing the shit ouf of me. People say the 15" needs 2000+ for full output and others tell me 1500W will be just fine.
