Cool Car Radio & Dealer Tip

Hello folks, first, if you look back on this forum, you will see a post of mine asking
about over heating, well the REAL FIX, was getting the RIGHT belt and set it
the right way, the dealer had this belt wrong, running the water pump in reverse !

I never posted that, but I decided to, since may happen to someone else.
Watch those dealers !

Now, I maybe re-placing my current stereo with the same, but that can
play MP3s too, as you know the Concorde 94 hardly have any room
for a stereo, so what company makes a GOOD size ( deep ) that fit
with no problems on the Stereo bay.

Thanks
Gesy

PS: I am searching for a tip I saw before here, but have not finded yet.
You may want to re-fresh my memory, the problem is that the sooner you
turn on the car, the dam thing start blowing hot air, the panel is OFF.
and will NOT go on, after a while you will see the display goes on, and now
everything works ok. I think someone mention a relay or resistor ?

Thanks again

Re: Car Radio & Dealer Tip

There isn't much room behind the dash for a normal in-dash radio to fit, they are about a half inch too long. Pioneer used to make a "DIN and a half" sized radio that fits the dash of Chrysler and certain GM cars perfectly and will fill the opening without a dash adapter plate. All you need is the correct harness kit for the wiring and it's all plug and play, make sure you connect the power antenna lead if your car is equipped with the infinity sound system.

The model numbers are DEH-P77DH and DEH-P47DH. May be hard to find them in a stereo store but might get lucky if one is laying around the shelf with the box a little dusty. if not, eBay does have a few of each model new in the box.

Oh and your ATC panel is on the fritz, you'll need to find a replacement soon if it goes off and never comes back on again common problem with these cars, check the salvage yards or even eBay for those too, may be pricey though!

to repair and get the thrill back than a pissed off girlfriend.

Re: Car Radio & Dealer Tip

I check the ATC Inside, and I am going to re-solder some points on the PCB.

I read some place someone saying something about that.

I wish I could find the Schematic for it.

Any chip inside will not go bad, but power transistors could.

Thanks.....
