audio issues

i have a 2004 grand prix that was equiped with monsoon system. before i got it the guy replaced the head unit and cut both connectors in the trunk that went to the amp. i need help identifying which wire is which and if i can just connect them to eachother instead of connectors because i dont plan on using the stock amp

Can you better explain what you are trying to do? I don't know which wires you propose to connect. If the stock amp won't be used, just wire speakers from the head unit or other amp.
