Hyundai Excel 99 works with Scangauge ?

Hey all.
I have a Hyundai Excel 99 GLX and am wondering has anyone hooked up a Scangauge to this vehicle? Can you tell me if it works.

Not a single reply!. Doesn't Matter now. Purchased it anyway and I can confirm it DOES NOT work with this make and model car.

Re: Hyundai Excel 99 works with Scangauge ?

Theres not much action in the Excel subforum. Too bad, I have an 87 Excel that I expect to keep running.
But to your question. I thought OBD-II compliance was a federal requirement after 97 or 98 for all cars sold in the u.s. If that were the case, would they have bothered to make the non-u.s.a. cars without it?

P.S. Last September I drove my 87 Excel to the Hyundai dealer nearest our house in a suburb of our nation's capitol. Four of the salesmen came out of the dealership offices to stare at my little car. They were young men, but not that young, and None of them had ever Seen a first generation Excel that was still running: Only two of them had ever seen one except in photos!

Good Luck with your Excel.
