Yamaha golf cart
Hey guys.... So I finally got to putting my golf cart togther, but when I put the rods in all they did was slide stright down so they sat on the cam shaft. Did I loose somthing? I remember them seating snugly in somthing.

well im guessing here but i think you coud be missing the valve tappets (they rest on the cam lobes and push up on the pushrod (the "rods" you mentioned) then push up on the rocker arm inturn oushing down on the valve (this is from a briggs and straton 6hp OHV engine (model # 123400)
but that is the same for all OHV engines i cant tell from what you have given us. if you could give us a model # of the engine or what kind it is (OHV or ? ) but the valve tappet could be a roller type or other but they all funtion the same pushrod tappet cam lobe ===== =====l O all put together ====== ====lO so it looks like your missing the tappet

Well mike5721947 you were correct. I found them sitting in the bottom of my parts box. I completly forgot about them until my friend asked what they were for.
