Need help with a 1996 Miata please!

Have a 1996 Miata with pop-up head lights. Whenever I turn the headlights on, the driver's side headlight continues to open and close by itself 8-10 times before finally stopping. Have had the car in to the Mazda dealership for this problem several times, but always get the same answer from them. "Cannot duplicate problem." Then they charge me $250.00 for looking at it. Also, having a problem with the brights. Low beams work fine (at least they do after the possessed one quits flipping up and down.) And when I pull the lever back for the brights (the temporary lever), they come on fine. However, when I push the lever forward (to get the brights to come on permanently and work without having to hold the lever back), all lights cut off completely (low and high beams). Can you help?

Re: Need help with a 1996 Miata please!

Hello, I have a 1996 Mazda Miata Recently the air bag light in the dash has come on...Sometimes it goes off for a few seconds then comes back on.......Where can I find the fuse to disconnect this.....I have called a mechanic and he tells me its not a big deal only that the air bags will not engage if in an accident......and that it is possibly a sensor......I realize these may protect u if in an accident but I really don't want to pay 350.00 dollars to have this fixed There is no manual with the car.....I also noticed there is not fuse in the abs spot in the fuse box what does this mean????? I would appreciate any and all help with this Thank u so much Rachel

No fuse in the ABS spot most likely means you have no ABS.

The air bag components are blue. The control module is located just above the steering column, near the firewall.
There are two blue boxes there. One is the control box, the other is a power supply (capacitor).
Just unplug them to disable the system.
