First round of mods Ats turbo AWD

I purchased and installed a few mods on my ATS turbo. I did some stock 0 to 60 runs with a phone app, and I found it to be on par with car magazine reviews of 5.7 seconds. After that I installed the zzp intake tube and drop in k &n filter, ngk spark plugs from zzp, and a catch can I purchased of amazon. Pretty pleased with zzp performance parts and I'm aiming to order more mods soon.

Re: First round of mods Ats turbo AWD

That's not bad, considering the limited displacement and torque. It makes good numbers for what it is.

As a comparison, this is a 4,680 lb B-Body with naturally aspirated (modified) LT1 on cast iron exhaust. The numbers translate to about 5.1 seconds to 60+ MPH, and under 8 seconds to 95 MPH. There's a LOT more torque available there, however, and the ATS is not a skateboard - There is some mass there as well.

Re: First round of mods Ats turbo AWD

Yea, like 3500 lbs I believe. I've come to find out these motors have weak pistons under higher boost. I'm basically gonna end up with a stage 1 kit with a few extra bolt ons. Think that gets it to like 330hp. Then further down get pistons, rods, cams , bigger turbo and dyno tune. That's the plan anyhow lol
