Keeping an interior clean and good looking, and new pedals?
Alright i have a firebird that has a leather interior and i wanna keep it clean. I vacume it out whenever it gets dirty in there, but what stuff should i use on the panels (i think they are plastic) and what if anything for the leather (i don't want it greasy)? Also, i have normal rubber i guess pedals, but i think i might spice it up a bit, but do most of the after market metal pedals give good grip (since i am still sorta new to stick, having a slippery clutch pedal just makes it a bit harder)? One more thing, about shifter knobs, do any of you even bother getting nice ones? If i decide to change it, i would either go novelty (like a smily face ball) or some nice leather one, but i don't know if its worth it.

I use Meguiars products. They do the job quite well.
As for aftermarket pedals, you should find something that grips well and look good too. The same goes for shift knobs. Momo has some nice stuff.

I use Meguiar's Gold Class leather cleaner for my front seats. They desparately need to be redone but this keeps them ok-looking for now For plastic/vinyl interior panels I use Meguiar's vinyl and rubber cleaner. I use Meguiar's products for most of my car cleaning

Thanks for the help. My biggest concern is stuff looking really greasy or feeling overly greasy or oily, i hate that.

My car never looks greasy after using the Meguiars. The Vinyl and Rubber cleaner gives it more of a new look rather than a shiny look. I think when interior panels are too shiny it cheapens the look. My carwash place did ArmorAll on my dash once and it created such a nasty glare....plus it made my car look like I got the dash at K-Mart.
I think whatever product you do choose though...as long as it is used in moderation it shouldn't do too bad. Test a small spot first to see what the results will look like |

Meguiars rules, their Vinyl/Rubber protectant isn't at all greasy, it's a very good product, I only use their stuff.

Yea, I use a lot of meguiars products on my car. There are some shifter knobs that I think are cool, but it depends on your taste's. One thing I do like are the indiglo pedals, even though they may look ricey, I think they are a nice touch.
