2017 dodge grand caravan gt rear heat position door actuator
Stopped switching to roof vents was stuck on floor, took apart rear hvac on pass side of cargo area looked in duct work the actuator broke the blend door gear fitting right off. Actuator was non responsive. Glued door back together got new actuator pluged old one back in it went in one direction about 8 rotations n quit. Same thing with new one. Did i ruin them? Didnt want to put on box and break door again. Is there a way to calibrate them? Dont know where to go from here. Any suggestions are highly appreciated.
I was told 3/22/19 its parameters have to be relearned by a scan tool.. Can anyone confirm? Is there a affordable scan tool that reads body dtc's and programs, that any of you are aware of or familiar with? Last edited by 1987ss; 03-23-2019 at 09:56 AM. |

Re: 2017 dodge grand caravan gt rear heat position door actuator
At dlr $77 for them to program acuator its allowing them to clear code run test operate the door with scan tool as soon as scan tool is removed code is back and door is in default on floor only. Code is excessive travel mode acuator. Service writer said $77 to go further so i gave the go ahead..
