power seat not working
I have a 2000 GMC Jimmy. the drivers power seat is not working. the lumbar works fine. I have power at the switch. but I can't figure out what is wrong. Is there a relay for each motor? Is there an easy way to fix this?

Re: power seat not working
I believe there is a 20A fuse in the vehicle and a 50A under the hood. Make sure you check both places.

Re: power seat not working
Grease the track and check for obstructions and jamming.

I had the same problem with my 2000 LT Chevy blazer. It turned out to be under the back seat under the carpet. The wires were corroded.

Yes, it was under the back seat. The whole back seat had to come out! GM needs to come up with a better plan for all of these power cables! Running them on the floor is not a good idea!

Re: power seat not working
How does wiring under the back seat have anything to do with the power seats in the front.

Re: 2000 Jimmy power seat not working - FIX MOD !
from other forums found that Orange wire from 6 pin connector under seat had power - traced good continuity and power to lumbar switch but no power at seat 8 position switch - for grins ran jumper from orange wire on lumbar switch to orange wire on 8 position seat switch and seat became fully functional - so spliced in jumper between both orange wires and wallah ! the electric seat that didnt work for years is now working again.

Re: power seat not working
Just thought I'd post a diagram, 6-way power seat circuit. Click on the link. Everybody have a good day.
