Re: New kits from Aoshima

They are sitting on a literal cash cow with that Beemax M3. The modeling world has been waiting almost 30 years for a decent 1/24 scale M3.

Beemax and Aoshima are two different companies.

I'm sure what nw94rs meant was that with whatever business agreement Aoshima has with Beemax for their M3 whether it be through outside an contracting or licensing deal, Aoshima could be rolling in the $$ right now.

I'm sure the hold up is probably due to design issues or because they're swamped by other projects on the table (240rs and the just released EF3). Either way if people were willing to wait 30 years it won't hurt to wait a little longer. LOL

Aoshima helps with Distribution , now that doesnt mean there isnt something else, but that is what is known and made public.

How I've understood it was beemax designs the kit, and aoshima produces it. Either way both companies stand to make a great deal of $$$ once this kit releases.

I thought for sure it would be Tamiya that would release a 1/24 scale m3, they recently came out w/ a DTM M3 r/c car which would lead me to believe that they had the licensing available to do a 1/24 scale as well.

either way its a win win for the modeling community.

Re: New kits from Aoshima

I used to have a 3.0 CSI and my brother had a 3.0 CS. Very nice cars but heavy. Sold it and got an Alfa Romeo 1750 GTV and 2.5 GTV6 as they are lighter and handle better. Would love a 3.5 CSL model in plastic that was good.

Re: New kits from Aoshima

When I first opened link I didn't scroll down far enough so I totally missed it...

Today it got shared on Facebook.

Love the Diablo GT and the Huracan...they did the right wheels on that!

Pagani should be popular too (and we kind of knew about it before), but not sure if I'll get one.

Thanks for sharing!
