Looks great! Not your best photograph, though

Re: 1/12 scale Suzuki Katana - Modified
I love your work. I used to own a real 1/1 Katana1000S in 1984, the rare one with the big Mikuni slide carbs, loved the bike.
I've now started modelling again and have a fair collection of Bike kits to build, amongst them the Tamiya 1/6 Katana1100S, Tamiya 1/12 Katana1100S as well as the Tamiya 1/12 Custom tuned Katana1100, the plan is to build the 1/6 and 1/12 standard Kats as close to my old Bike as I can, this will mean scratchbuilding slide carbs, otherwise the UK Kat 1100's and 1000's looked identical, for the Custom Kat, I intend to use the wheels, monoshock swing arm and upside down forks from a Tamiya R1 Yamaha if I can (hoping they will fit, but taking heed you found Honda NR ones would not) but otherwise retain the Katana look and silver colour scheme. <edit to above> test fitted R1 upside down forks in the Katana fairing today, they touch each side, but the fairing will close together, if I remove a little from the bottom and top lip of the fairing it will work. The Katana front mud-guard will also fit over the R1 tire, but I'll fold it in a little to compensate for the original Katana's 19" front wheel to the R1's 18" (or is it 17" ?) and flatten the bottom for a snug fit and also thin out the mudguard sides so they dont rub against the tire. Will post pictures as I progress in a new thread, glad I found this site, all the builds here have been an inspiration to me As for the windscreen, might I be so bold as to suggest just the standard one, the Katana has a distinctive syle and profile and the small screen it has is just right, all the best real modded Kats kept the original profile and looked best for it IMHO. Re: 1/12 scale Suzuki Katana - Modified
I've just seen this one, great work, certainly improves the Katana. What article did you write for TMMI?
