Unhappy 03 outlander interior light door switchs

My daughters 03 outlander door switches don't control the doom lights anymore. Doom lights stay on all the time unless I turn the automatic function off. The trouble icon on the dash shows both front doors are open all the time with all doors closed and key off. Any one have this problem. Thanks for any help.

Re: 03 outlander interior light door switchs

If they are anything like the older Mitsubishis then the issue is related to a ground on the door switch. Ironically the issue I always had made the interior lights not want to come on.

First thank you Stealthee for the reply. I was out of town for the week end or I would have replyed sooner. I did get the dome lite door sw problem fixed temporarily. Some time ago a mechanic had readjusted her door for fitment. The head of a bolt on the door was hitting
the door post causing the sw to make up erratically. Quick fix was placing a shim behind
the sw.
