Need Help on Authentication
I recently purchased a Red 1989 25th Anniv Countach from SportAuto in Summerfield NC. I am experiencing trouble tracing this car's history. It has a plaque on the dash that says "BUILT FOR LEE A. IACOCCA". The car is serial # ZA9CA05ADKLA12428. All I have to help verify that this is truly a car built for Lee is a picture of him with a red 25th model in some showroom.
Can anyone shed any more light on the authenticity of the claim that this was indeed (or not) a car that Lee owned? Thanks |

Re: Need Help on Authentication
The VIN I gave was incorrect. It is ZA9CA05A0KLA12428
I will attach photos. CARFAX showed this car to be registered the first time on 5/24/1991 with 17,293 miles in Jacksonville FL. Could it have been used with a dealer plate or some other way? Thanks |

Re: Need Help on Authentication
I recently purchased a Red 1989 25th Anniv Countach from SportAuto in Summerfield NC, and I am STILL experiencing trouble tracing this car's history, probably because I gave the incorrect VIN #. The correct one is #ZA9CA05A0KLA12428. It has a plaque on the dash that says "BUILT FOR LEE A. IACOCCA". All I have to help verify that this is truly a car built for Lee is a picture of him with a red 25th model in some showroom. I have the Carfax report but it has very little info available.
Is there anyone that can help me now that I have the correct number?? Can anyone shed any more light on the authenticity of the claim that this was indeed (or not) a car that Lee owned? Thanks |
