Subaru Legacy GT Touring Wagon

This is a Hasegawa model, introduced back in 1991. This has been standing on my stash since early nineties, partially started (mainly painting the interior). Now took it on my workbench, at the same time as the Suzuki and Kawasaki (also a Mitsubishi Galant) and continued work with it.

First primered the body with Ultimate white primer.

Then applied the colour coat, Zero paints Ferrari Rosso Rubinho.

Finished the very basic chassis.

Painted the clear parts and the wheels. Glued interior and chassis together.

Clear coated the body with Profix 2K automotive clear and test fitted body and chassis together.

An the last steps, masked the body, and painted window frames and trims in black.

So, this is where it stands now.

Re: Subaru Legacy GT Touring Wagon

Lazy days, small progress! Struggled with the silver decals on the trim. Surprisingly, considering their age, they were in quite good shape, but those stripes are around the car, in multiple pieces, and partially wrong length, so the work was tedious. After that I applied chrome foil to the front grille, and Hasegawa Mirror Finish film to the bottoms of the lights.

Re: Subaru Legacy GT Touring Wagon

Almost there! Painted the tail lights, glued them to their places, did the same to the front lights. Glued the windshield and other windows ( one piece) to the body, the drivers rear mirror to the roof and the additional brake light too. All in all, the fit of the clear parts is not very good, not even the windows.
Now there are only some small pieces left (mirrors, wipers, registration plate etc), next pictures will be in the "Completed"-section.
