I'm assuming you had your car on a dyno to verify that it does indeed push 270hp before bragging about it. Would that be at the crank, or at the wheels? Please post a scanned image of your dyno test for us all to enjoy.

Mazdaspeed Protege's ain't no joke when modded. With just CAI, Turboback, boost controller, and an SFC I believe Import Tuner saw 240whp. I'd believe he was making 270hp at the flywheel. Definitely not at the wheel though. Heck 270hp ain't that hard to come by.

The mazdaspeeds are nice...i didnt really know their potential cause i dont know nebody whose done it

I do think 270hp @ wheels is a lil optimistic, but nice kill, hope to see some under the hood pics and a few more races

Re: mazdaspeed vs sir

Actually, looking at many of the speed5 owners, they have been able to hit mid 14's with justa MBC @ 9psi. And the speed5 responds well to mods because many have been able to hit 13's on stock internals with bolt-on upgrades.
That engine is so weird in that car, you can either have a really good one or a really shitty one for no apparent reason.
