Re: Re: Honda ATTACK

1800 pounds!!!!!
you guys are saying the 200 or so HP coming from the h22a engine isn't enough!!! the Elise is heavier and has less HP and puts out 4.4 0-60 runs!! HOW MUCH FASTER DOES IT HAVE TO BE?!!? You don't need 8 cylinders or 500 HP to be fast! |

ok i don't mean to bring this post back fromt the dead but i had the opporitunity to see and sit in one of these this weekend. I"ll get to the pics in a second. I'm in a little town known as Salem, VA currently attending Roanoke College, and every fri. and sat. night everyone gets together in a huge parking lot, the place is called fast freddy's there's a resturant by that name on the corner. Anyway so i'm there and i see this thing and i had to know more. Well turns out the guy i was talking to was on the design team and is importing the kits and building them in America. And this kit is not based on a fiero or any other car, this is a full tubular frame that meets nascar specs.
He's building them with a completely built H22, sleeved block, completely custom valve train(i forgot it's a mix of crower and other stuff, i was too excited to remember). 8.2:1 compression if i remember correctly (yeah that can only mean one thing: forced induction!).Anyway to top that off it's running the turbonetics T3/T4 turbo setup with the turbonetics stand alone ECU. It was dynoed at 13 psi and i can't remember the numbers so i'm not going to even put them up here but it was over 300, anyway the motor building was outsourced and that company assures that the motor will hold 50 psi (insane) and this guy is planning on running his at 30 psi which should produce circa 500 ponies. So here's pics.....Sorry for quality my camera had dust all over the lense and it was getting dark... The company that's putting them together here in salem is calledMid Atlantic Concepts . They said they start somewhere around 40,000-50,000 and go up as high as 120,000. Some notes, there is a carbon fiber hard-top, and the headlight is not out in that one pic it had strobes in the headlights, the hard top does include windows but they do not roll up and down but they are removable, They're talking to cosworth about getting a motor, they're thinking about utilizing an RSX tranny or the whole RSX driveline in order to get the 6-speed. That car and two more should be at SEMA this year and are going to be all over america at shows so if you get lucky you'll see one. Also to Anyone who's not sold that it's fast we're talking a projected 0-60 of 3.3 seconds at 30psi, 1900lbs 500hp you do the math, sure there's not much torque but that's almost negligable with that kind of a hp/weight ratio ohhhh duh.... here's the motor...
