Rim Help

All I need some help. I hit a huge pothole on the I 70 and cracked my rim. I am having a hard time matching the rim. My LS is a 2002 and the rims are after market American Racing. I do not want to purchase all new rims for a vehicle this old. I have attached a photo of the rim. Does anyone know the name of the rims and does anyone know where I can find a used one. I have checked ebay with no luck. Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Rim Help

That's a bummer regarding the wheel!

One thing you could try is a local wheel repair shop to see if they may be able to safely weld the crack and refinish the wheel. If you haven't already, you might try contacting American Racing's technical support to see if 1) they can identify the wheel model, and 2) may know of a source for one in the size you need. Finally, you might try posting this (or moving the thread) to the "Auto Collision Network" forum since your question is not really specific to the LS and they may have some resource for identifying aftermarket wheels since they probably run in to this more often than your typical LS enthusiast. If you'd like me to move this post let me know.

Rod thank you. I did reach American Racing and the wheels name is touring series number AR638. Unfortunatly the wheel has not been mfg for 5 or so years and I cannot find one anywhere. I did try and get it fixed but could not. It is a 17 inch wheel with 5 bolts. Please post on the other site if you could.
