Question 900 se V6

Hey! My Saab is having a problem and I could use some help. When driving the car for a while, the car acts as if it is being choked. No new warning lights or anything just that. It will do this frequently until the car shuts off (while driving). I have a few thoughts but the only one that I can think of that is more likely to be true is the fuel pump is on its way out (so far, the more gas that is in the car, the longer it lasts before doing this). A friend of mine said maybe the "D.I. Cassette", but like I said the most likely culprit is the fuel pump. Any help asap would be greatly appreciated.
