Does anyone know how I can program a keyless remote for a 1995 Saab 9000 CSE?

its been so long, since I've owned and operated a 9000, but I believe the procedure is (don't quote me):
have both keyless remotes handy (if you have both). after installing batteies into the remote that is new, or dead, you have about 30sec. immediately "chirp" the new remote twice and then hold (unlock button depressed)until car horn and marker lamps signal remote "found" car unit; then hit your old/original remote to ensure it is still "keyed" to the vehicle. I am almost sure this is how both my '96 9000CS and '97 Aero operated. if this does not work, try calling dealer parts counter; they usually have the EXACT procedure well versed, as most universal remotes don't do well with swedish models. hope this helps, ctesla@sbcglobal.net certified ASE Instructor |

Re: Keyless Remote Programming for 1995 Saab 9000
Tried this on my '95 Saab 9000cs and it did not work. I called the local Saab dealer and they quoted me 30 minutes time for $64.50! The other Saab dealer in town said that a used remote couldn't be reprogrammed - which I highly doubt. Still, 30 minutes and that much seems like a stretch to me, but I don't see any other options.
