W O R D

This forum was so active back in the day. The off topic threads were particularly interesting. Boy, have politics changed!

Re: what happened to this board?

just popping my head in here for a bit, update with me.

I now have a 1 and a half year old daughter, moved out of miami. Got a 93 Honda Accord 2 door 5 speed in mint condition for $1800. Sold my RX7 sinc eit had a busted clutch and I was tired of not having A/C in it. Sold it for $1400 as is and bought a 94 Celica GT 5 speed with A/C in great condition, that will get a 3sgte sometime in the next year.

Re: what happened to this board?

I sold off my J, sold my stang, and bought a truck and a house... didn't really like how people were getting flamed off the bat and not given an opportunity to post without ridicule.

Re: what happened to this board?

Hello! Been a LONG time since I've been here. Where to start? I'll make it short and sweet.

Shopped for a car for my birthday back in 2011. Found an 08 WRX and missed my chance on it. Dealership found me another one. 2006 CGM WRX sedan. Fell in love with it. It still makes me happy to drive everyday.

Current Mods and Cosmetics: Stage 2 Cobb AP Tune, Cobb SF intake, Invidia V2 catless DP, Cobb Catback Exhaust, Rally Armor Mud Flaps, Sony Headunit (way better than stock), Eibach pro kit springs.

Nothing more planned for the future. Maybe an up pipe and a protune if I have some extra funds. Anyway, I'll drop in when I can. Won't be often, but it'll happen

Re: what happened to this board?

Currently dont have a vehicle worth mentioning lol. me and my best friend have a project car, 1984 grand prix with a 350. raced an 94 mustang gt in it and won by a half a car length. besides that, here and there i drive my fathers porsche boxter every once in awhile. took it on a nice spin through some twisties and through the pass. raced a bmw 8 series 2 door. got the best of him.

Things are starting to look up for me financially so i may be a little more active on this board. I can almost gaurantee it wont be a vr4 though.

Re: what happened to this board?

I dunno, i think summer would be the perfect time. More street racing happens during the summer.
And i think i have a way to do it. A young buddy of mine is all in to street racing and cars, he reminds me of me when i was 20. The other day he talked me into going to the street races here in kent, wa. It felt wierd being there, since i use to be one of the main racers there. they have carried it on after all these years.
He owns an infiniti G35 supercharged. pretty quick.
Maybe if i get him and his buddies to start filming there races and posting them on here, maybe it'll add a spark?? i dunno

Re: what happened to this board?

I dunno cops have been a bit more aggressive lately, it's not like it was a few years ago.

Re: what happened to this board?

It would be nice to resurrect this forum and bring back all the old members/personalities that ran this board. But there's so many vehicle specific forums these days it makes it pretty difficult to pull off a task like that.

Simpler times back in the early 2000's. A lot of us have grown up and lost interest in "street racing". I haven't lost my taste for a few spirited runs here and there, but going to meets and risking the chance of being harassed by local law enforcement doesn't cut it for me.

Anywho, as a mod/member/fan of AF, I'll try my best to stop in as often as I can. You may see me once a week or every other week at best. It's a start though, right?
