2004 2.4l fan clutch removal
Working on my son's 2004 Frontier with a 2.4l. Replacing the water pump and having trouble with removing the fan clutch attached to the front of the pump.
First question: are the nuts right hand or left hand thread? I can't seem to break them either way and I've started to round the corners of two nuts. Second question - are the nuts 10mm? I'm using a 10mm tubing wrench and it seems to be correct but it's not quite tight. Any help would be appreciated - Thanks, Duane |

Re: 2004 2.4l fan clutch removal
Well, I hope you got this completed by now. I've done this job on a 1998 with that engine, and it was straightforward. I used a 10mm box wrench, and the threads are typical right-hand threads. It is a little cramped.
