Angry '98 Olds Intrigue, repair manual, or brake help

I am just getting into doing auto things myself, as not to ling ago a friend of mine got me hooked on imports. My girlfriend lets me do some of the work on her intrigue, as i can get a feel of what I am doing. However, I have never messed with brakes before, adn hers have all sorts of issues. I think right now its just the pads are gone completely, but it has been grinding for a while, so it might be worse. What I need is a walkthrough on how to rectify at least the pads, and possibly where I might be able to download a factory service manual so i can learn more on my own.

Please help! I don't even want to drive it anymore, i do not like a sound of it going from bad to worse.

Thanks but unfortunately they do not have an intrigue available. Any other ideas?

I looked at the autozone stuff and they didn't have the Intrigue, Impala, or 4-dr GP. There is a link there for alldatadiy also. For a free service the autozone site is damn good if you car is on the list.

For $25 you can get an alldatadiy.com account that is good for one year and will have the info you need. Almost like having the service manual set. In some ways it's better than the service manual.

It will give you everything.

Everything, Everything, Everything x20.

Those rotors may need replacing also. The intrigues pads are ceramic, last along time, but cut into the rotors.

check rockauto.com or gmpartsdirect.com for good prices. Rotors may be cheaper picking up locally due to the weight.
