WIP: Kawasaki ZZR1400
Hello,
Tamiya 1/12 Kawasaki ZZR1400. I started this kit about 3 weeks ago. Very fun build. The chain is complete. This was the best picture i could get of it though The frame is complete, i let it sit for about a week and worked on the engine. The engine is about 90% complete and installed into the frame. The Swing arm is also around 90% complete. It is not installed to the frame yet though, just on for the pictures. Thanks for viewing. Hope to hear from you. Zubski |

Re: WIP: Kawasaki ZZR1400
Nice start, but it looks that you missed some seams.

Re: WIP: Kawasaki ZZR1400
Thanks guys.
I started the spring. Painted the silver parts. Im not happy with how it came out though. I don't know maybe just needs another coat. Seat Frame is assembled. Needs a final sanding then into primer it goes. Also started work on the Front Fender. Next update everything should start to come together. Stay tuned Zubski |

Re: WIP: Kawasaki ZZR1400
Interesting to see the parts of this kit. Always fun to see how Tamiya has gone about recreating a new bike. Are you airbrushing the parts? Looks as the silver parts are a bit dull, perhaps too far from the object when spraying?
Keep it up! /joel

Re: WIP: Kawasaki ZZR1400
Hello
Started work on the exaust pipes. Stripped the chrome paint, glued and puttied. Also started work on the Body Thinks have been going slow as the Rc season is starting this weekend. So i have been busy getting my cars ready. Should have some paint on in a couple of days Zubski |

Re: WIP: Kawasaki ZZR1400
Update:
I have finished the engine. It needs little clean up but thats it. Body work finally complete. I was origanally going to paint it black, but im getting sick of seeing all this black so i decided i will paint it Mica Blue. I just need to ask my mom for $30 pick up a can of white primer and a can of air propellent and then i can paint it. The exaustpipes still need alot of work before i could put paint on it. If you follow my WIP's you know i can't build a model without something going wrong. I thought this would be the one without problem but i was wrong. I lost the little piece that goes on the exaust pipe. I don't know how that could of happened but it did. I will try to scratch build it but my skills are so good. Hopefully i find it by then. And the red decals on the back of the bike, that was a stupid mistake And finally, a picture of the body and exaust test fitted. |

Re: WIP: Kawasaki ZZR1400
Looking good so far. I'd recommend you to prime that tank/seat cowl again, cause new blue paint won't cover those spit marks of paint from the airbrush.
