Exclamation Power Windows Elec Prob. Please help!!

The power windows on my 96 corsica are kinda random when they wanna work.... at times they will work fine. other times when trying to roll them up or down they do nothing, yet the seatbelt light will light and stay on as long as you are pressing either the window or lock buttons.... The light deal is kinda recent, before that it still did the same thing. Replaced the brake booster awhile back and a friend forgot to reconnect the box under the dash for the chime/seatbelt light/dome lights... But like i said, before this, it still had the same problem, only work when they want... any clue guys?

Apart from the buttons themselves the culprit a lot of times are broken wires in the door hinge area. After opening and closing for 13 years or so a couple of the wires in the rubber boot can crack and make contact part of the time. A good place to start.
