Looking to purchase a classic car

Hi guys. How are you doing? I am looking to purchase a classic, as a spare car. My wife & I (2 kids) have a RAV-4 for the family, but we are looking to purchase a reliable old classic sports car.

Looking mainly at late 60's, or 70's European metal. Preferably a coupe. I do have a soft spot for old BMW's, but the prices are a little steep. Looking to spend 12k (15k is the max).

Currently in Baltimore, but moving to New York (city-area) in the next few months, so car will have crappy Winters etc. to contend with.

Any suggestions, or ideas?

Thanks.

Try going to www.hemmings,com . It's the website of the Hemmings auto magazine and has many various types of vehicles for sale . Good luck !

Watch for available garage space in the NYC area, can very expensive.

Thanks for the info guys. I will check that site out.

Thanks maxwedge. I will be moving to Brooklyn, so whatever we have, we will most likely be fighting for street parking.
