I need help ???????????????? 1999 maxima
I have a problem because one of my family members wont let me have their car until i kno how to start it. Well first off it a 99 maxima manual transmission and i know you have to push the clutch down put it in nuetral and then start but the starter wont even click. There is a lock button to take the key out. There has to be a trick in the 99 maximas if anyone knows of it please tell me.?????????????????

Not sure if this is your answer... but some cars won't start unless you are pressing on the brake... (And, I don't think you should be in NEUTRAL, but in PARK... not possitive, tho.)

If you son't know how to start it you should not even consider driving it. It's safer not to use that family members car. Go with a AUTO if you can and learn manual on a much older car.

yeah if u cant start a MT, then u need more time before you drive it to learn more about it. but to answer your question, are you sure that youre pushing the clutch all the way down? you will have to sit closer than you would in an automatic.
