I have a 91 honda Accord and last night around 11:00 when i went to start it up..the car was in park but the engine was revving as if I was pushing the gas slightly.....anyone know what this might be?

i have a 92 and if its cold than it idles at around 2000-3000 rpms and if i let it sit for just a sec. than you can watch the rpms slowly drop down to normal. you can rev it and it will drop down alittle quicker. it s possible that your throttle is stuck. you know this happens to us with cars that are over 10 yrs old.
