Flasher Light short
I have a 2001 Grand Am that has a short in the flasher that consequently also makes the blinkers not work. I know this is the problem because I took it to a mechanic for another problem and he told me about this, but I know this is something I could easily do myself. I just need to know where the flasher unit is. Thanks.

Re: Flasher Light short
Welcome to AF !
If it is the flasher relay it is located just behind the flasher button attached to the radio bezel. The bezel pops off, prying around the lower edges is easiet IMO. And if it does scratch the plastic its less noticable on the bottom . Though this can also be caused from the multi function switch, your turn signal/wiper/headlight switch. This is caused from dirty contacts in the MFS and can usualy be cleaned and regreased which solves the problem.
