Re: HOW TO: Paint your interior

Well I decieded to update my interior I was getting bored of the painted red interior so i changed it somewhat back to stock with some things painted silver, all so I changed my center console to a 00+ manual console.

Before

After

Re: HOW TO: Paint your interior

I don't really care if it fools people into thinking my cars manual. I just wanted 2 cup holders n liked the idea of having a boot on the shiter and ebrake

Re: HOW TO: Paint your interior

The updated interior looks sweet Jay. I'm also returning mine to stock, I already got someone lined up who wants to swap his stock pieces for my painted red pieces. I also got sick of the painted interior look.

Re: HOW TO: Paint your interior

jay, im not saying you are fooling anyone. im just saying mongo is retarded because he DOES want to fool people. you just wanted it for the cup holders, as do i, but doing it to make it look like a manual is dumb.

oh, does it have the a/c outlet on the side like my gf's '03 sunfire? cuz i want that, if it does im definatly swapping my consoles.

Where did mAngo say he wanted it for the "manual look"? And my 04 console has that 12v port as well.

Re: HOW TO: Paint your interior

yeah... i dont want it to look like a manual - i just dont like that super faggish cold steel rod in the middle of my car - its just not stylish, i take great care in the cleanliness of my vehicle, and i do everything that i can to make it look seamless. i have an 04 allready, so i would just need the boot, and to take off the plastic trim piece around the shifter bezel

Re: HOW TO: Paint your interior

Hi I just got a 97 cavalier z24 and I'm looking forward to getting started on customizing it. I have no experience on painting the interior of a car. I'm planning on going to the junk yard and picking up a spare dash and door panels. I was wondering what paint I should use and the steps required to painting the dash and panels. Please get back to me.

Thanks,

Aaron
