Re: Daily Driving and Racing your eclipse. FAQ
06+ is the 4th gen. The majority of us have the 3rd gen. (2000-2005)
Not sure if they made a 2006+ Section yet. I know my I4 auto can hit 140, and the v6's can hit well above that. |

Re: Daily Driving and Racing your eclipse. FAQ
oh, cause it sucks, that eclipse rides and shifts soo smooth, even when flooring it, I know when i don't even slapshift it, it gets to 140 quick and it is only at like 4500 rpm's ad its completely stock, i just wish i could take it faster.

Do you have any idea how massive a track it would have to be to have our cars get to 140? I dont think Road America, or LeMans are even big enough. The Nurembergring is probably the only place capable of letting us reach top speed. Once we hit about 120 it CRAWLS ( and gettin to 120 isnt exactly a sprint to begin with).

Re: Daily Driving and Racing your eclipse. FAQ
u didn't even go into increasing or decreasing radius turns. plus none of that even matters on a track with two turns back to back or with other cars. it's not that hard or expensive to get into NASA road racing and then you'll learn what driving is all about. and rodbls is right. it'll take like almost a mile to get up to 140 in a stock gt... not like i know or anything

OK, side not. Double posting the exact same thing...also frowned upon...I will direct you to my post in the other thread. It might be hard to find because it's the one with all the cobwebs on it, and you may or may not discover ancient artifacts on your quest due to the absolutely prehistoric age of that thread.
