Tamiya 06' Repsol "Pedrosa"

I have been an ardent automotive model builder for most of my life. I was fortunate enough to pick up a new un-opened Tamiya 06' Repsol kit for $17.00 USD. I have read here, that this kit is not accurate, and that it is mostly the 03' version with a couple of extra pieces for the 06' version. Does anyone make the correct parts for it to be built as a true 06' version?

Any help would be appreciated.

RW

Hi,

I hope those links help you
Here is from Studio27 http://www.kiwi-us.com/~studio27/New...RC211V_NG.html
And here from Renaissance http://www.renaissance-models.com/Mo.../mtk12_032.htm

I think that Modulo also have a TK but I'm not sure of it and if it will be for sale or only will be for sale in Japan.

Bye!
Roca.

Thanks!!!

I purchased the Studio27 update kit from Strada Sports.

It looks to do the trick.

Re: Tamiya 06' Repsol "Pedrosa"

Ok....
I got my ST27 Detail kit today. I have been test fitting, and building on it a little bit. One question I have is.

Have any of you dealt with this detail kit before?

If so, what are the tricks to getting the frame to line up correctly?

I may have more in the near futhre, but right now I am test fitting the engine into the frame, and she just does not want to go.

Help!!

Re: Tamiya 06' Repsol "Pedrosa"

Hi 69*Goat

I have not used this kit but all I have to say is that you may need to search for pictures on internet to see if you have to modify a little the frame to put the engine. Pit walk don't have the 06 season book yet but the Motogp Racing technology have some good pictures of the RC211V of 06.
Here is the store where I bought it
http://www.amazon.co.uk/MotoGP-Techn...776178-9803657
And another good, http://www.amazon.co.uk/MotoGP-Seaso...776178-9803657

I hope it help

Bye!
