Re: k/m '05(ordinary(my first ever conversion))

guys, i need your help here. i managed to get the word 'konica minolta' properly fit on the cowl as it is at the photo below by measuring the word & cut it before i placed one of them in the water. but the problem here now is putting the k/m logo at the circled area. how do i place the logo on it?

Measure and cut the decal with a fresh Xacto blade, and use MicroSol/MicroSet to make sure the decal complete conforms to the cowling. Sometimes it's easier to cut the decal after it have been applied.

So the decal is a full circle, is it? Not pre-cut? I think I would go the way Ole describes or to cut the decal in to several pieces using a sharp blade.

Re: k/m '05(ordinary(my first ever conversion))

hi,

here is the photo of the bike which i can say at least 90% complete. i find that the tail cowl is a bit in a mess as doesn't seem to join well with the seat cowl. i didn't expect to face a part which is misfit that is when i placed the fuel tank cover & only to find out the fuel tank holder doesn't seem to fit well. after some patience of filing, at least i managed to put in the fuel tank cover properly. i'm currently working on the bottom cowl by putting putty on the part as you can see it behind the putty.

after i finish this bike, i'll start the yzr 500 d'antin team but i'm not sure if i should start or not as i'm flying to the capital to see the m'sian gp next week.

Re: k/m '05(ordinary(my first ever conversion))

thanks,

well, i've done the front fender by removing the oil pots from the front fork. didn't notice that part in the pit walk photo collection till i look through properly.

actually it's almost done but only the cushion at the seat cowl is still yet to be placed. i'm waiting for one item from detail & design to make the cushion as the cushion provided in valencia box does not fit well.
