Thanks! I'm thrilled with the car. Its really clean. Nice and shiny and straight too. Its got 71k miles on it and just had the 60kj service.

I got it by posting a wanted ad on the yahoo board. Actually 2 spyder owners replied. The other spyder was black with higher miles (and he wanted more money). So I got the red one.

It was located in Sacremento California. I live in Delaware, so I paid an inspection company to check it out and send me a report. It worked out well, so I had it shipped across the country to me!

I think the collector car market is in a slump. The spyders have really come down. I paid $18500. I'm up to $20000 because of the pre inspection, shipping then the DMV title tag thing. I think 20 is a steal for one of these cars!

Re: Photos of your rides here

Gorgeous. Dinfintely worth the 20k.

people dont think about it, but what would you have got if you spent the 20k on a new vehicle? not much, ceartainly nothing special, and certainly not a 320hp luxurious hard-top convertible lol....that is rare and collectable haha.

give me a few more years and ill get mine...

Re: Photos of your rides here

Very nice Spyder VR4 you have there. $20k is a great price on it. Take good care of her!

Re: Photos of your rides here

i'll never buy a spyder, i mean they are decent, but i dont really like the rear. but congrats on the purchase, and from the amount i've seen, 20k is a damn good price

Thanks for the replies!!!!!!!!

I agree with the above qoute. Where can you find a drop top with a desirable look, fast-fun performance and extremely low production for 20 grand?

And even better, when its time to sell you should at least get your money back. Maybe even make a few bucks if you hold on to it long enough.

I can't see these cars dropping any lower. Thats why I took the plunge. I would be really surprised if you could pick up a nice one in a couple of years for less. I believe at some point, their value will start to pick up.

Re: Photos of your rides here

man...its so impressive that a 16 year old car can hold its own so well, both looks and performance, sitting next to a new car like that. The lines of the stealth are just...better.

not knocking the Ion, but the stealth is just putting it to shame in that picture. I'm sorry man, I know they're great performing cars, its just very obvious that the stealth was designed with sporting pretences in mind, and the ion was designed to be a grocery-getter, and later adapted to the sports car role.

dont take that as an insult of the Ion...but a compliment on the Stealth and how well taken care of it is. After all...this is a 3/s forum

Re: Photos of your rides here

I agree 100% with you Blink. I have wanted to get so many different cars that are upscale in performance to my SL but they sure don't look like it. If my SL was RWD, faster, and more reliable, I am not sure I would ever own another car. Nice pics though.

Re: Photos of your rides here

do u have a lift in the left side garage, or just a bigger vehicle that needs a taller garage?

i'd take either, they hold their own against the other. the stealth was designed for performance, the ion, not so much, but saturn(gm) did a good job with making it better.

the only car like it that i'd never touch is the caliber srt4...too much a soccer mom car

here's how it goes...if i had a clean lisence i'd take the stealth, but as of right now i'd take the saturn to keep cops away from me...tho the neon never helped with that(all my tickets were in the neon except one...damn 944 with jersey plates)

My stealth is N/A ATX so you would probably take that if you DIDNT have a clean record lol. And because its N/A the stealth wont hold anything against the ion....except looks
