Need a car for college
Hey guys, I need some assistance. My dad is buying me a car for college and we are beginning the car search. His criteria are, good gas millage,(atleast 25), reliable, and not really high to insure. Mine it HAS to look good, and HAS to be manual transmission. I would love for it to be fast, but in all reality that doesn't really fit his criteria. I can work on building my own old fast car at a later date i guess during the summer and in his shop. So far I have in the list: Acura TL, 2005-7 mustang v6,... yea. I mean mainly it has to look good, you know, for the ladies

A 2000> Taurus, there's graveyard of cheap parts, and the insurance is cheaper.

And the 4 doors and decent back seat are handy for hauling around your buddies, double dates etc, something the coupes are not so good at. |

Re: Need a car for college
What about a 2005 or so vw golf? Neat car, well built and a reasonable 29mpg highway / 21mpg city. Diesel even better at approx. 35 mpg highway.
