KBB pricing for used car

If one were to buy a used car(model year 2015) now(Dec 2017) would it be valued less(depreciated) early next year (Jan 2018) keeping mileage constant. When does the used car valuation change on Kbb.com? Would it be worth waiting for 2018 to buy the same used one instead? Thanks.

Re: KBB pricing for used car

Car values fluctuate based on many factors. It could actually increase in value if certain factors are seen in the used car marketplace. Even if it does decrease according to KBB it won't be anything worth waiting a few months for. Also KBB isn't the end all, be all of what you should/will pay. Negotiations are always in play. You can use KBB as a base, but you have the ability to pay less through negotiating.
