Re: Question on riding someone pillion
Um, yeah...
So, on another note, my man found himself a GREAT starter bike... only problem now is helping him find the $ to get it. It's a mid-90s VFR750. I wish I had the cash upfront to help him, but I'm trying to save so we can buy a house this year.

Re: Question on riding someone pillion
Wow, finding someone willing to sell a VFR is a miracle in itself! VFR's are sweet! I hope he finds the means to get it, they are one of the best all-around bikes ever built.

Re: Question on riding someone pillion
I know - and it's local to him. I seriously wish I had the cash to just buy it outright. He feels he needs to sell his car (his fuelmiser) to afford the bike... I'm trying to convince him to keep the car anyway. Ugh. What I need to do is just move down to Nashville already so he can take the damn MSF (I'll pay for it) and get some frame sliders on my SV and just let him ride that.

I lived about 20 minutes north of Nashville for about 3 years. Don't miss it one bit... |

Well, being female you may not get the stares and "F**kin' yankee" comments that I did.... However, may I suggest route 24 northwest of Nashville for a ride??? Its not twisty but its NICE! Especially in summer and fall....nothing but trees!!! (well it was back in y2k anyway...) I never went all the way up, but the 15 or so miles that I always seen were awesome... |

Re: Question on riding someone pillion
I would be near 24 on the southern end of things. I went for a ride on my friend's nightrod and we hit some fun roads. I saw the MASSIVE Nissan plant in Smyrna and the Raceway. We didn't do much north of the city, but I'm sure I'd scope it out at some point.
I fully plan on being called a Yankee bitch, but hell, I yam what I yam.

My brother-in-law works at that Nissan plant. Last I heard he was still doing door installs on the Altima. Raceway? Music city? I only know one way to that and its hills and curves all the way. |

Re: Question on riding someone pillion
Found'em....A way to get your mans @$$ in gear to get the bike Speed..
Tell him if he don't find a way to get the VFR, then he will have to decide.. Option #1 (matching outfit is REQUIRED!) or... Option #2 |

Re: Question on riding someone pillion
Yeah... he's none-too-happy with me right now. I think it's time to take a step back and just chillax. If I get frame sliders on the bike, and if he takes the MSF, I may as well let him ride my SV. Overall, it's really a pretty easy-to-learn bike (after 4 years on a shitty inline, I had NO problem hopping on) and he's a big enough guy that it will have a mighty hard time "shooting out" from under him.
