Re: Triumph Sprint ST 1050

If you've never ridden one, the VFR's are totally amazing. I couldn't believe how smooth and comfortable it was. And I think it was beautiful with the single sided swingarm and flawless red paint. They nicknamed it the 90/90 bike around here. It's 90% as quick and flickable as a full on race replica, but also 90% as all day comfortable as a touring bike. If I could find a used one, I'd still be tempted to buy it (if I could convince the Mrs. of course).

When I fell for the XL1200C at the dealer a few years back, the wife said if I brought it home she'd leave me...

So of course I rushed over and bought it....what a deal!

Didn't work...she's still here....

Re: Triumph Sprint ST 1050

To me the VFR looks the same as the Sprint, but with a smaller engine and no saddlebags for the same price! From the side, the bikes look dang near the same.

But the Honda is indestructable... trust me... I've tried.

The Viffer does have saddlebags... I don't like them, and I usually left them off. The one I want is the 06 in pearl white Mmmmmmm. Sex on 2 wheels.

The Sprint, from what I've read is a pretty solid bike as well.

The VFR has optional saddlebags! So there's another $800 or so on top of the high price!

The pearl white sounds nice, but the '08 is available in silver only. Not my favorite.

why is it that when wives say "do whatever you want" it's not true.
they need to say "do whatever you want as long as its what i want you to do"

Ha, if my wife said that...there would have been a new bike in the garage a LONG time ago!

I gave up and let my wife give me opinion on certain matters. Like decorating, whatever I say it doesn't really matter, but I play the game like she cares....
